Nnnnot really! I think KK and Hisoka are pretty stable PILLARS OF EACH OTHER'S WORLDS at this point in hilarious ways. Hisoka relies on her but in an independant way (which I'm p. sure is also vice versa), loves her, is perfectly comfortable making fun of her, and just generally enjoys spending time with her. He's obviously going through some emotional instability lately but it's the constant and comfortable presence of Emerald, and particularly KK, which keeps his ability to cope and function so high. He's happy for her that he found out she helped fix her world, and was completely serious about dragging her back to the office if she wanted to go (though he's also not getting himself too emotionally attached to the idea, what with him also considering it a good chance she'd want to go derp all over Lloyd instead, or wander off to other interesting fields). One way or another it's at the point where imagining her not in his life is just WEIRD though so he tries not to.
Nope none. A lot about her world view has changed, but not on the people in that world, which is interesting. She was super touched that he offered but she isn't sure if she is too dangerous for other people's worlds so she's not sure about any of that. There's a lot of insecurity for her atm. But she is super secure in her relationship with Hisoka, super comfortable, and generally very happy about it.
If you did a heart game for Hisoka what would it be like :3c
She should expand on that because nobody is more dangerous for our world than Tsuzuki I MEAN -- no I basically mean that. (unsure).
Haha oh gosh I HAVE BEEN CONSIDERING DOING HIM NEXT just to give time for the others to develop but I really want some of his awful trauma memories first. Uhhh, okay first up the one thing I know for SURE is that unlike Rolo and Kanji (both of whom have very tight/constrained hearts) his will be very broad and sprawling. With Rolo and Kanji I stuck to an explorable area and theme; Hisoka's would by nature have to be more free-form and less theme-based (though I'd try to make it a solid and consistent thing anyway... I'm still trying to figure out how to do it). In a nutshell, Rolo and Kanji are not terribly complicated people. Rolo's weird and his simplicity maps differently but he's still got a basic simplicity. Kanji's just very straightforward, even if he has issues rolling under the surface. Hisoka's got fewer 'issues' but a lot more complexities and deep-seated concerns and multiple ways of feeling about things and so on. I THINK what I'd want to do is make a huge map and a sort of weird/different/skipping flow between areas, and make each area about a feeling and moment in Hisoka's life -- totally random example, but for example, the desert could be Inferiority, etc etc. It'd be more memory-based as well. COMPLICATED.
NOt to just parrot "Back at you" again but you got me curious how you'd do KK's, especially with her psychic powers.
But as a non-spoilerish answer I debated highly on having people hear each other's thoughts during the game due to being immersed in her headspace. I thought that'd be fascinating. But I knew it would deviate somewhat from point if I did it, so if I do use it (and I might!) then it will only be in extremely brief flashes. Other than that I shall say nothing \:D/ except that parts of it are just really . . . sad . . . which I reckon is probably anticipated. BUT NO MORE unless you can't make it to the game at which point I will spoil you thoroughly in PM at some point. uhuhuhu.
You should tell me your heart game writing process, I am curious :3c
SOMEHOW I DID NOT KNOW YOU WERE RUNNING okay that's exciting \o/
For Heartgame writing I discussed it before a bit here but in general it's liiiiike. Usually I first come up with something I want to do as a 'hook', like with Kanji's it was Shadow Kanji's commentary and with Rolo I wanted to do the emotional status effect thing. Then I sort of try to figure out what issues I want to focus on -- do I do a whole review of everything? The main issues they struggle with in a certain way? Basically I pick out idk motifs or themes. Like with Kanji I went for his view of socially appropriate/socially inappropriate angles on the things he wants, feels, likes, dislikes etc; with Rolo I wanted to explore the main two axis of his personality (Want/Fear, Convenience/Inconvenience) and break down further from there. Thennnn after I have that sort of high overview 'map' written I figure out what the heck I want to do with the true heart because I know if I don't do it early I'll tack it on later and it'll feel tacked on. I think my initial notes for Rolo's heart looked something like --ugh I have it on a USB key but I forgot to bring it to work today. TRYING TO RECONSTRUCT IT:
***
Emotional effects - Cold = lack of affect - Hot = Increased passions ((*** I later revised this to agitation and distressing desperation because increased passion wasn't accurate enough))
LAYOUT - Geass shape - Main room, two wings, one 'piercing' stairway up & down from main room - Upstairs = Want - Downstairs = Fear - Left wing = bad things?? - Right wing = good things?? - Outside = frozen, true heart is out here? - Lots of clocks! Clock paths? Frozen clocks? Clock puzzles?
Manifestations - Deception - Want - Fear - ???
***
That was more or less what I had for ROlo's heart by the time I sat down to write any notes (after the vague brainstorming of the hook). From there I'll start breaking things out and working in actual patterns and puzzles and details sob. Like all the locks and keys and winding and so on came later.
I usually try to write up as MUCH flavor text that I know the players will come across as I can in advance so I don't end up holding up the actual game at the time. I ended up having about 20 pages for Rolo's heartgame.
She doesn't have any least wants now. Endcanon memory sort of shifted all that. She would be most concerned about Mark coming just because until they worked him out at the end he was pretty much a crazy psychopath that fucked with people's brains for fun. It might end up being a bit of skills race, really, but she has enough of a headstart to keep on top of him somewhat. She also has a feeling from one of her earlier memories that they might have some awkward personal history :[a so it is a bit like. Hmmm. This would be awkward overall.
If you could make me app a thing what would you get me to app :3c
Let's see. I wouldn't want anyone for HIsoka because KK and Hisoka's CR is pretty balanced as-is. Obviously any of the P4 characters could be interesting, with Naoto being one of the most hilarious in that there would be a bizarre love triangle going on in Kanji's head but ...not... for anyone else. Rolo himself wouldn't want anyone but I love playing him off Euphemias and I would find it hilar to have the other affectionate-to-Lelouch family member there... idk mostly I just want to play off KK FOREVER!1
